Sonny Joon

Her interactive have released the box cover art for the shattered medallion.

Here it is

It's pretty cool, right?

The thing I love the most about this game is that it has Sonny Joon in it, for those of you who don't know who that is...well..actually, I don't know even know who he is =D

I guess I'd best describe him as an intriguing, mysterious and also a little mischievous individual.

We've never got to see his character in the games, we just know him by his unique and rather odd art, that he seems to leave all over the place, mostly at the places he's worked, which usually is always before Nancy gets to take a case at those places, that's why we never see him.

Now finally though, here he is on the cover of game 30 in the Nancy Drew series.

I don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to it.

The substance of our individual lives

Life is sort of like a vapor that comes from a tea kettle of boiling water, when the tea kettle cools, the vapor disappears.

Our blood when it is warm, is the life of our body, when it runs cold, life is usually gone.

A christian man named John Wesley once said, that our life is like an arrow that is shot from a bow, it ascends into the heavens, until it reaches its highest point, then is descends until it comes to a stop.

I was thinking to myself yesterday about different things, and I had the thought come to me, that everything dies and passes away. (Everything, it doesn't matter what it is)!

I've had this sort of thought before, but it Never had really sunk into my brain before like the way that it did yesterday.
Our lives are so short, time passes by so quickly, not only do we as human beings die, but other things as well, only in different ways, and I'm sure if you think about it you can come up with several examples.

What I'm trying to say is, nothing lasts forever, everything has to end at some point, you and every person that you know or have ever known in your life has to die, and with that being so, i think we should (and I'm sure everyone that's reading this has heard this before) live life to the fullest.

We should make the best of our time that we have from this moment on, while we have it, whether you be a young person or an old one, because one day your life will end, it will be all over, and the time you have right now, will soon all be gone, and something that's even more important than making the best of the time that we have, is making sure we have everything straightened out in our hearts with God, because we don't know when we're going to die, we could be gone in the blink of an eye. For ex. by something like a car accident.

So isn't it important, that we make sure ahead of time rather than wait and it be too late?

I'm ending this post with this question for you to think about, not to be mean in any way at all, it's a question that I've been asked before, so please don't get offended.

I also don't want you to get the impression that I'm trying to force my belief or the decision to get saved on you, what you do is ultimately your choice.

Where will you go when you die, when it's all over, and your life has ended?

Only you know where you stand.

News: Written by Victoria

Okay everyone, I've decided to postpone the team blog post project, to January.

The reason being is that I literally have no time to make the kind of post that I'd like to on the subject that we picked, so I thought I'd let you know about that.

Also, I know that this blog isn't the best right now, but I'm working on making it worth your time to read.

I've decided that 8:00 a.m. is the best time for me to make posts, so that's the time it will be.

The time that my blog members post will be different, because as I've said before we all go by different time zones.

We'll there you go, that's the news for today, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them.

Thanks!

An Idea! By: Victoria

So, yesterday I came up with an idea I'd like to share with everyone.

I thought it would be interesting for myself and the three other people that run this blog as well, to pick a subject, and for each of us to write a post about it.

So that everyone can see the subject from four different points of view.

If you blog readers think that this is a good idea and you'd like to see this happen, tell us in the comments and you can also leave your subject ideas in the comments too and we'll decide in the next day or so which one we'll post about.

Thank you: Everyone!! :)

Regular cigarette smoking increases your risk for many cancers, including:
• Lung
• Lip
• Oral cavity (tongue, mouth, and/or throat)
• Esophagus (the tube connecting the mouth to the stomach)
• Larynx (voice box)

These cancers are just a few of many things you can develop by smoking cigarettes. That normally end in fatal deaths.

Which proves:

So think about it!

The Silent Spy and an idea: By Breanna;)

Well, I don't know about you, but I am real excited about The Silent Spy(The new Nancy Drew game) that's coming out. I've always wanted to know what happened to Nancy's mom and I just think it's going to be cool to finally find out. If you've checked Her-interactive's website, you've more than likely seen that the characters have been revealed and the official trailer is going up on youtube on Monday. Monday is also the day that pre orders begin. I can't wait :)

Here is the teaser trailer for the game, I think it's pretty cool, they sure did a good job at making the game sound interesting.

What do you think really happened to kate, I have my own thoughts on this subject, but I'd still love to hear what you think. So tell me in the comments.

Also, I'm thinking about doing a music video for an upcoming blog post of myself singing a beautiful song that I wrote, singing is my talent, I'm not trying to brag, but I'm very good at it and writing songs. So if you think it would be a good idea that I make a music video than tell me that in the comments too and I will ;)

Natalie: Written by Victoria

You know how we have certain days of the year to celebrate special people. We have Mothers and Fathers day and so on and so forth. Well, I think we should have a day set aside for our Brothers and Sisters, to celebrate all of the things we've been through together and all of the memories that we share:) A day that we can all just hang out and have fun. Although we don't, I have set aside today to spend time with my older sister, Natalie. So todays blog post is dedicated to her, because she is such a wonderful person!

Here are some of my favorite pictures of her:
They were taken in Florida, the first being at Disneyland, and the rest of them at Daytona beach.
                                                         She is my BFFL!

Peace!

I LOVE YOU, Nat!

Natalie
I love my sister Natalie! She really has been there for me through thick and thin. To me, she is the best sister in the whole world. Although we have had our share of arguments (like most siblings do). We always get over it (most of the time). Natalie really is a cool sister to have. She's someone that I can count on to be there for me when I need her! She is a Kindhearted, Sweet, Brave, Pretty, Smart, and Loving person and I'm proud to call her my sister. So here is to Natalie (Nat to me) and to all of the good and bad times we've shared together and to the future, hoping that it is full of just as much fun and great memories!!!

Good or Bad: How we affect one another: Written by Victoria

The Bible says in Proverbs, Chapter 25, Verse 11. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. That means that we can either encourage and help the person that hears our words or discourage and destroy the person that the words are spoken to.

I'm going to give an example on how a persons words can really affect someone: I had a friend that had a Facebook and she was talking to this boy that she liked and was friends with on it. She had personally known this boy for years and they normally never fought, ( at least not around me). One day she decided, that she would relate to him how she had felt about him, by telling him that she liked him. He responded in the wrong way by saying, I don't like you and never will like you, so you should just go commit suicide. (There is more to what he said, but I'm not going to add any details).  After reading this, her heart broken, she did just that, she ended her life. Now lets look at it like this. What if that boy could have handled the situation in the right way and said, I don't have the same feelings towards you as you do me, I'd rather us just be friends. She might still be alive today. After finding out about her death, he was sorry, but it was to late.

What I am trying to say is, words are powerful. What we say to others can affect them either in a positive way or a negative way.

Now, you can do what ever you want with this, your words can either bring happiness or sadness, respect or disrespect, or in some cases like the one above life or death. Just remember all of the times that we have put a smile on someone's face and let us also recall the times when we have seen others walk away in tears, because of our choice of words. So let us let every word that comes out of our mouth be used with caution and kindness and at the very least our conscience will be clear.

Dreams/Nightmares

Just recently, my friend and I had a discussion on dreams/nightmares that we've been having lately. I told him about this crazy dream that I've been having off and on here for a while. What happens is, I'm standing inside of this huge place (it looks something like a mansion). The only light that I have is what's shining through the windows, so it makes it kind of dark, because (there are no lights on in this place). It's not dark enough that I can't see what's in front of me, but it's pretty dark (it's kind of eerie). Anyway, there is this long flight of stairs leading up to a balcony. I start to climb up the extremely long staircase and when I reach the top, I walk over to the balcony and climb on top of it, stretch my arms out and free fall. (sometimes I can actually feel the wind hitting my face). The really weird thing about this dream is, I never hit the bottom, I always seem to wake up before that can even happen. I've asked several different people what they think about it and I always seem to get answers like (you might be getting ready to die) or (maybe your dream is trying to tell you something). I find these answers to be quite unnerving, "at least in my case". So my question for you today is, what do you think? Do dreams/nightmares really tell something that's going to happen or are they just dreams? I'd really like to know what your thoughts on this are, so please tell me!

I'm sorry to everyone who reads our blog, but I'm not going to be able to make a post for today, because my doctor told me that I'm still extremely sick and that I have to stay in bed all day today. If everything goes well, then my post for tomorrow will be at 7:30 A.M. and should be at 7:30 every day from here on out. So again, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience and I thank everyone for your patience and please remember me in prayer.

Ungrounded Fears

I had to help out one of my friends, with an article that she wrote about strange phobias, yesterday. She wanted me to help her out by, looking up several different phobias and their meanings, in some books and on the internet. The phobias that I found are quite interesting, and I thought that I would share them with you. Here are ten of them that I came up with:

1. Arachibutyrophobia - fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth

2. Ephebiphobia - fear of teenagers

3. Linonophobia - fear of string

4. Optophobia - fear of opening one's eyes

5. Phronemophobia - fear of thinking (This one made me laugh)

6. Somniphobia - fear of sleep

7. Syngenesophobia - fear of relatives

8. Thaasophobia - fear of sitting

9.Verbophobia - fear of words

10. Xanthophobia - fear of the color yellow or the word yellow

What do you think of these phobias? Are they funny, strange, etc.

Her-interactive is currently holding a summer contest called, where's sonny? It looked like a lot of fun, so I entered it. If you would like to participate in the contest, all you have to do is- Print flat sonny off of her-interactive's website. Then, take one or a couple of pictures of yourself with flat sonny. After that, you just send in your picture or pictures of you and flat sonny either by email, or if you have a facebook account, you can just post your entry to HeR's facebook page, and you're automatically entered into the contest.

If you win, you get your winning picture put into the next game, you get a Nancy drew book with everyone at Her-interactive's signature in it and a magic image mug with a sonny Joon design on it. The thing of it is, the contest ends on july,31,13 and I want to send in a least one more picture. Any suggestions???
